Childrens/Spare Room Mattress

The mattress's shown here are suitable for a child's first bed and they are also suitable for a spare room mattress.

We feel that the mattress's here represent great value for a child's first mattress, as they are made using a good quality Bonnel spring with a high spring count providing firm support.

Any mattress in our range is suitable to use in your spare room, however, the mattress's shown here are the most common choice made by our customers.

We are often asked at what age should you transfer a child from a cot to a full size bed. We can only suggest that the child will let you know by way of its actions in the cot e.g.: climbing out. Our family has found with 9 of our own children that around 18 months and older is typical timing. This means that you really need to start looking for a bed at around 15 months so that you have plenty of time to determine what you like. Most of our beds are Australian made, and made to order which can take 4-6 weeks. We do carry some of the more popular beds in stock.We generally keep the mattress' shown here in stock at all times.

From a cot we recommend either a full size single or a king single size. We feel that mid size beds between a cot and single end up being a waste of money as the child out grows the bed too quickly. Mid size beds also require a special size mattress, linen etc.
